It really is dependent on weather conditions (temp and wind), climate (humidity) and you. And a whole bunch of other factors specific to the trip, the conditions faced and the hanger.;) I agree...
Plan meals and repackage food with an eye towards reducing trash. FBC'ing is especially helpful in keeping refuse down...I seldom have anything other than empty baggies to carry out.
