The Arizona trail doesn't touch either of those trails it runs in the same north /south direction.
The Grand Enchantment trail hikes on both the CDT in NM <a ways) and the Arizona trail with other....
Make sure to go north bound UP Webster cliff, coming south and down sure is a heart stopper

I wouldn't hike any trail any where in March, April or May without a 15 degree bag, in the mountains in the spring night time its cold
I don't know your age but I started the first of May in 1988 at 40 yrs old with the old heavy pack system (only kind there was then) and climbed K on Sept 24 or 25 can be done.
The shelter that is there now is not the same one where the killings took place, it was rebuilt in another area and the old one stood for a while then eventually wasngone, the same as the Thelma...
My money would be on the fly Creek UL2, I have the UL1 and have used it for 6 months per year for 3 years, will start the AT with it this year
and see if it makes another thru hike.
I read some things about it and the one thing that bothers me is the pole inside is right in the middle so you can't sleep in the middle must be on one side or the other, no big deal for couples but...
