If you don't get the help you need here I would call up TT. They have amazing customer service and I'm sure he would take a minute or two out of his day to explain the process to you.

Sounds amazing.
Is there something in particular that you are having issues with? This may be a silly question but are you using a a trekking pole (or the supplied poles) for the front and rear?
Never really experienced real trail magic before but I think the best thing to happen to me on the trail was staying at a shelter in PA, extremely dehydrated. While reading the shelter log someone...
you shouldn't have durability issues with any of the quality manufactures. UL or not.
I would think it's safe to assume that he works. I definitely had the funds when I was 21 but chose to spend them on other things... stupid things... like clothes and cars. If I could only get back...
I should have specified that I would not recommend using the pole mount for moving video! :D It really depends on what type of video you are trying to shoot. If you want to get them cool solo shots...
There are a ton of options but I'm personally addicted to Tarp Tents. I use the Rainbow and it' definitely the best tent I've ever owned. It's a single person but could fit 2 in a squeeze (definitely...
I've never attached it to a pack but I have attached it to my pole before which works well. You can also try the P.O.V. attachment from Peak Designs. I use their V2 clip for my pack strap for my DSLR...
I'm not sure that I would risk bringing them onto the plane with you. I would pack them down into your bag and be done with it.
Being from NJ and doing the majority of my hiking here and in PA, I don't necessarily think that it's "difficult".... but I would be lying if I didn't say that I get really excited even for a 100...
A lot of ignorant comments floating around here.... shocking
I use a 3/4 Z-Lite pad. If it's a colder night I'll use my Gossamer Gear sit pad to either a) extend the sleeping pad or b) put under my torso for added warmth/support. This also stays in my pack up...
This was my first thought. Best to keep your phone unlocked while you're out (no password, fingerprint protection, etc.)
I'm not sure that anyone is going to come to a river and noticed that it's been panned (sorry for my lack of technical terminology).
I used 50ft for years and years but quickly realized that I never use all of it... ever. Lat trip I cut down to 30ft.
The Packa... problem solved!

This is the DWG. Welcome to hell :)
I've tried the wet sock thing while hiking in the Aridondacks. Next morning, still had wet socks... just a bit less cold.
I'm pretty sure you just judged someone in this exact sentence you state that you're not judging.
This is a great suggestion. I'm definitely looking into this.
That was actually supposed to be the trip I was taking this year but decided not to. I usually go to the High Peaks every October but last year it turned into a disaster when I invited some people...
Also, I thought that the Shenandoah National Park had some good options to offer but I hear that it gets extremely crowded in peak October. Can anyone confirm this?
Hey all,
I never thought that I would ask for a hike recommendation but here I am :D Looking for a 5-7 day hike (preferably a loop) within 5-6 hours driving distance from NJ. I've hiked all of NJ,...
I stopped reading the thread at this post here. The trail is about whatever you want it to be about. If you want to cut you days short and pan, sounds awesome to me. Enjoy yourself. If someone sees...
