The P Style is the only one that really works well without disrobing. Forget about "Go Girl" - a disaster, even with disrobing. "Freshette" works well for camping/boating, but requires lowering of...
Can wipe out P Style with single baby wipe (pack out in baggie). Urine is sterile. Dump plastic jar in am, close, and carry empty. Wipe lid of jar with same wipe. No odor with lid closed. Used same...
Both the P Style and Freshette work great with a wide-mouth plastic bottle. This is what I use on the boat: ...
I've used both. Freshette is more reliable, in my opinion.
"A nice gesture"? .....makes me wonder how you are paying it forward in this life, Kraken Skullz.
On my boat, I use the p style with a wide-opening plastic bottle, like a juice bottle. After use, be sure to screw the lid on tight! It works great.
Sailing Faith is sailing in the Caribbean for four months. Will be back some time in March. Then I'm sure stickers will flow.

It's a biking trail sign, not a hiking trail. But it spoke to me. I've seen similar trail warning signs when skiing. I now take them seriously! Have crawled down a few too many...
I need one of these!! My pack is to heavy, and my knee is getting old and complaining about it. It's this or a sherpa. Sherpas are SO hard to find these days.
That is the challenge, indeed, when preparing for a big trip. One can burn up a lot of time running here and there to stores, that could have been spent on the trip (trails or sails). I am readying...
I represent that remark.
If you could leave your job for six months and the rest of the employees could easily do your work, then your job is redundant. Or would your co-workers have to cover your work at, perhaps, a...
Peter will always be up ahead of you, scouting out the trail, then looking back to check on you, as you hike through this life. He is resting comfortably in your heart, where he will always remain....
Excellent!!
Nice sentiment!

I got a shuttle near Dennis Cove that was far less than I expected. It was a long drive, to get from where I ditched the trail back to my car. Considering time and gas, the shuttle driver was more...
No kidding!!! What a virulent thread.
Try 3 mg of mellatonin. It is the natural substance that allows the body to fall asleep. Take it thirty minutes before you lay down. No hangover in the morning. It is over the counter, and can be...
Yep, the knees seem to be the thing, all right. Try to get your weight as close to ideal as you can before you start. Four pounds of pressure are exerted on the feet, ankles, knees, hips and low...
Having never hiked before, I found Bryson's book to be hilarious. I like his writing style, which was fun and easy to read. The other AT books I read before my very first hike didn't give me any...
Love it!! Here's a good book for you: "I Judge You When You Use Poor Grammar: A Collection of Egregious Errors, Disconcerting Bloopers, and Other Linguistic Slip-Ups" by Sharon Eliza Nichols
Actually, getting in someone's car may be when you first actually realize how bad that smell is. Roll the windows down, if you can! Something about hiking makes your olfactory sense go on...
Excellent video. I was showed this technique at REI. The one time I was on a hurry to start a hike, and didn't do this, I got several blisters, from my heels sliding forward in my shoes on the...
