cell signal is unreliable in this area due to very few towers. While they did ping his location, in these areas pings are not reliable.

Her friend had to leave the trail due to a family emergency. She had been hiking solo for about a month if I recall correctly.
An 18 month old and a 3 year old are required to be in car seats. That rules out hitchiking to town too. Maybe they are planning a supported hike?

2.5 miles from Mt. Oglethorpe, the original terminus of the AT, 15 miles south of Amicalola. I would be happy to show hikers around the new park that has been developed around the old summit.
We figured it would be nuts today so have ipted to hike anywhere BUT the AT until late April. The BMT at the Swinging Bridge and at Stanley Creek were both busy but not annoyingly so.
This disposable CPAP device is still under development but offers a good prospect to cut the cord (and the hose!)
