The size of my bladder is nobodies business but mine.
My Walmart $30 pack is still good.
And comfortable as it happens to fit me well.
I replaced it with a $130 ultralight pack.
And the Walmart cheap $7 blue CCF sleeping pad have held up well for...
My two nesting stainless steel pots from Early Winters are still going strong.
The lids have their own swing out handles and the pots have the same plus bail handles.
Love pots with bails.
Several years ago I bought a center zip over the chest down bag. As a side sleeper (both sides), I ain’t never going back to side zip bags. Also works best when you use your bag open as a quilt.
My...
ME TOO!
But maybe too cozy for two-depending on their size.
Good news:
LUXURYLITE has just introduced the RadLite at 1.75 lbs.
Looks like they put the standard Luxlite external frame on a diet and added Cuben Fiber Cylinders.
Bad news:
Cuben Fiber and...
I got me one of these packs about a year & half ago. It has held up well with no problems.
My buddy bought the hunting camo model and has blow a pocket zipper.
The new version this year has...
But they do last forever. My 1989 bag as been used a lot and still lofts about 2/3 as it did new. None of my other syn bags have held up near as well.
Besides, if you use any bag but a Wiggy's...
I have a Moment so will toss in my two cents. Love those Moment puns!
I usually leave the free standing crossing pole at home to save weight.
It only takes two pegs to set up without the extra...
I have right zip bags because I am left handed, but my favorite bag is center zip and as a side sleeper it is the only way to go.
Don't forget-with the crossing pole the Moment is completly freestanding.
I would carry the extra crossing pole if I neened to ever pitch on a platform.
I want a two pound Luxury Lite external sooo bad!
But all my latest trips have ULW and I haven’t needed all those cubic ins. Can’t justified the $285.
I want to take this moment, to say that I like my Moment very well.
I want to take this moment, to say that I like my Moment very well.
IT took a little digging, but I have here in my hot little hands my 1990 brochure and letters from Envirogear and the Cocoon 4 sleeping system.
SPECS:
Cocoon 4
650+fill power prime goose down...
GLAD I got mine when I did. I really like it.
Now It Is On Sale With $5.00 Off And Still/again Out Of Stock.
The Murmur is now listed as made of Silnylon. I got one in September and it looks and feels like Silnylon to me. The GG Murmur page is in bad need of an update and edit job. The headline says...

Thanks for the pitching TT tents tips. One of the best things about TarpTents is all the good feedback from the owners and Henry, himself.
I have used my TT Moment tent for one night and it was a stormy one. I was setup in a semi-open area beside some farm buildings with very little wind protection. It started to rain about 3 AM and the...
Kephart seem to be fascinated by the miniature stoves and cooking kits:
Since the English camper seldom could get wood for fuel, or permission to make a fire in the open, he was obliged to carry...
One source for Egyptian Cotton tents is www.tentsmiths.com. They get a supply of 4-5 ounce long staple cotton tent fabric from time to time and can build you just about any old style lightweight tent...
It is so easy to set in front of a computer and dream up an ultralight gear list. But not so easy when I start putting all the stuff I think I need into my pack. There are all the what-ifs and...
I would like to thank everyone for the book lists and the sources. I have a fair number of these books but I found several items I need real bad. I have both the first and the third editions of THE...
Several questions have been raised about these old time tenting materials. Many natural textiles have the ability to absorb water and swell shut, closing their pores and becoming virtually...
