I can do my laundry in the Bath Tub! I am sure I will be able to hitch into town and find a place. Important question: Is there a watering hole?
GooseMan: Cabins sound great but I need to get to...
Take it easy and flip to Maine in July.
I always carry a map and compass. I see people with GPS's but I am not sure of the advantages.
Is it an easy walk to town and resupply from Days Inn and Comfort Inn?
The guidebook looks awesome. Thanks!
It's seems like the only thing I need is Sgt Rock's guidebook and the Trails Illustrated Maps. Any thoughts? Should I carry the data book and BMTA pamphlet/guidebook?

Should you carry a folding saw or machete on this trail? I always need something in wilderness areas, especially Linville Gorge.
Do you need to notify anyone if parking at the church for a few days?
Not sure about the outlet but I remember the trash cans and restrooms at white water. I love that trail, have fun.
Great information. Are there any major stream crossings in the Georgia section?
Any recommendations on where to stay in Blue Ridge?

How do you do the reply with quotes on here? I cannot seem to get it to reply like everyone else does.

I was amazed at all the people on the Foothills trail without a map.
Good advice.
I just hope this trail doesn't suck like the Bertram Trail. Of course, even then it was nice to be in the woods.
A compass it is but my north points south.
Is there a need in either one, or is the trail easy enough to follow? I have never carried a GPS and I have hiked a ridiculous amount of miles. The compass has been handy a few times, but mostly...
I ordered his book last night. Thanks for the shuttle number. I will call him tonight.
Is there a place to stay in Blue Ridge that does shuttles?
Can you buy denatured alcohol in Blue Ridge? Or should I send a package?
I am thinking of hiking to Ocoee from Springer, or leaving...
Thanks for all of this. I am changing my trip; I'm going thru the GA section on the BMT. Know a safe place to leave the car around Ocoee for ten days? And a shuttle?
