Maybe you will pick up some free "heavyweight" gear:D
Wow, I can't believe nobody thought of that. :banana
This will work fine if you aren't particular about +/- a lb or two. Also, you will not be able to weigh individual items.
Pick up something like this on ebay:

Why the hell doesn't that guy just cut down on his calorie intake?
Tikka plus is good.........except
The flashing mode is useless
The front lens pops off too easily
I guess that's it.
Just grow a patchy beard and shave it when you happen to be in town
vaporjourney, I don't know if the frame in the circuit is bendable, anyone elso know? Glad to hear you like your catalyst
I bet dominos tastes better.
I'd probably go with the long version for sure.
:-? I know why can't the make it a Manly color. Oh well, color doesn't really matter as long as you don't get hypothermic and don't have to take sell your car to get a 20 deg down bag.
Either Tomorrow or EARLY :sun saturday morning.
We plan on 6-7 days to get to heflin. Who knows we might keep on keepin' on after that
We are going to go to heflin and see how we feel, We have to be don by monday. That's over 70miles so that's a good bit of it. I hope you guys make it all the way. I just hiked about 5 miles of...
Is it the regular spitfire of the spitfire UL? That's a good idea, I want a gatewood cape and already have a spitfire. HMM
I had a kelty moraine and a kelty trekker for short periods of time but I decided I wanted and internal frame and returned the trekker and got the moraine. The moraine is a nice pack but heavy and...
We will be leaving a day or two ahead of you two. How far are you planning on going?
Oh, yes that Joe HIker.:banana
Did they tell the wright brothers they were crazy? Did they tell Michael Jordan he was crazy? Yes. I know that cheezy but people are always knocked for doing something extraordinay.
Forget them, people will always knock you for doing something great. Generally they are either, jeleous, closed minded, not very bright, threatened.
I hope so too. I'm thinking of getting a relay for day hikes. I like to support cottage industry folks like brian. The thing I like about these packs is that they use only whats necessary and...
I know you may feel the need to justify your purchase by others buying the same gear as you. Maybe you will get over that one of these days.
The "hoop" suspention(really an upside down U) extends almost to the very bottom of the pack. It ends in the belt area where it's got little loops that hold the ends of the hoop and transfer the...
What do you think of the catalyst so far? How many miles have you put on it? I just took out the circuit for a 5 mile test hike yesterday and was amazed at how comfortable it was.
I just recieved my new ULA Circuit. I will be going on a weeklong hike next week and will give a more conclusive review after that.
Initial impressions:
The pack is fantastic looking and well...
