I hope that each of you who love Christmas will have a lovely one tomorrow. Here at Sugar Grove, Virginia, we are having some snow. Tonight our temps are to sit at 19 degrees or so. As a child in subtropical southernmost Texas. even this little bit would have created joy in my heart. Now as someone who has never resented snow (because it still seems magical to me), I find that it reaffirms the Santa Claus type celebration of Christmas. The music, the cards, the big smiles on people's faces as they wish me "Merry Christmas!" remind me what it is really all about. For those who are of the same faith, I hope that you have read Hoosier's journal for 2013. He tells us how important walking is in many delightful words. Merry Christmas, all of you, even the Grinches.

Merry Christmas. Being a new member of Whiteblaze, I like what I see so far. A community of like minded people wanting to share their love for the trail and the ourdoors.

Happy Holidays to all! Let's not forget those who are struggling and hurting. For many, Christmas is a time of great sadness, as it reminds many of us of lost loved ones. If you encounter a "Scrooge", show compassion instead of contempt, for we don't know what others are going through. I wish everyone good health, happiness, and great trails!

M e r r y C h r i s t m a s to the entire whiteblaze family! Thank you for all of the wonderful ideas and conversation. Even though I don't make it to the trail very often, I do try to stop by here every few days and get my AT fix. And, thank you for starting this thread Sunny Walker.
