Thread: The bubble

    Hey All,
I'm doing a week on the AT the second week in June going Northbound and I was wondering if anyone knew if I would be hitting the bubble of Thru-hikers around that time. I'm starting at Rt. 11 and going on until I hit NJ. Thanks for your insight.

You may see some thruhikers but I think the bulk of the bubble will be in central to Northern Virginia.

The heart of the bubble will be two weeks behind you but you should still see a fair number of NOBO thru-hikers when you are on the trail.

Fair number as in shelter space will be tight, or fair number as in the conversations will be good?

I was about at that point last year. Plenty of space unless an isolated group is moving through.
Fear ridges that are depicted as flat lines on a profile map.
