No on approach for now
Trail Name: To be determined - I was christened in Harpers Ferry "Flower Child" By a non-hiker because I was staying at the hostel. This was before I decided to hike the AT. Funny thing I actually got two trail names that week in Hf, the other was "The One" I don't know what they all were insinuating.... Haha.

When: May-June...
CDT through Colorado, SOBO, mid-July, from Monarch Pass to New Mexico state line.
I live in Colorado so I've already hiked short portions of the trail. I'm 68 so taking it easy. Will plan to complete Colorado in two summers. I've completed Wyoming's CDT>

I'm more than excited to start this epic journey. I have been wanting to do this since I got into hiking and have already hiked some of the southern portion, including the approach trail. It's time to turn my dream into a reality. I graduate in May and want to use this transitional period of my life to take a step back and explore the world around me. Planning on starting with some friends and hopefully finishing with them as well. Any other South Bounders planning on starting at the end of May?

It usually opens sometime after May 15. The date may get pushed back a couple of days, but hopefully not. If it does, no big deal, I'm in no hurry.

Hey there, I'm Pj. No trail name yet, I think I'll let it come to me once I'm on the trail. I plan to head northbound the last week of February. Approach trail is a definite. This is my first time attempting a thru hike, and I'm sure it will be even more amazing than I can imagine!

Start Date: April 14ish.
Plan to finish on the Approach Trail unless friends want to hike up Springer with us from the parking lot

Reservations made at Amicalola State Park Lodge for March 18-19. I love the outdoors and the freedom of being there. I have had many adventures and can't wait to get started on this new one. I may be crazy but crazy is fun.
