Not sure if I will do the entire trail next year but my plan is to start at Harpers Ferry in April and go south to Springer. Take July off. Then, if I decide to do it all I will go to Katahdin in August and hike south to Harpers Ferry. I want to avoid the Northbound crowds and the bugs in the north. Good luck no matter what you decide.
