Default Honda Ridgeline Pickup Truck Commercial

There is a commercial now running on TV about a Honda Ridgeline pickup truck where they are driving through the woods when a Grizzly bear blocks their path. Everyone in the truck is scared. The driver hops out and takes a very large fish out of the back of the pickup truck and throws it to the bear. The bear is then happy and allows the truck to proceed. The driver is a hero.

Something is not right about this commercial. Should people be feeding bears in this manner???

Of course I ride around with fish in the back of my truck all the time just in case I find myself in this situation. If they had coated the vehicle with sure brand deodorant the bear would have never known they were there. According to the T.V. a certain brand of atv will also cause ole grizzly to run away in fear. Aren't commercials a wonderful educational tool?
It must have been a truck load of purists. They couldn't simply go around and risk not driving the whole trail......... or is that the ENTIRE trail?

The sad part is that the fish was a Snail Darter. There are layers upon layers of issues here.

That reminds me of an old and worn out joke.

A guy is in court for killing and eating an American Bald Eagle.

The judge asks "why did you do it?". The man replies, "my family was starving, I had no choice". The judge lets him slide.

On the way out of the courtroom the judge says "you know, you're probably the only person I'll ever know who's eaten an eagle. What did it taste like?".

The guy replies, "It's real good, kindof a cross between a California Condor and a Whooping Crane".

The better the credit rates, the stupider the car commercials get. It's a valid economic indicator.

It's Katrina's fault, which means that it's really Al Gore's fault since he invented Katrina.

Blame it on the general public and the advertisers. The advertisers come up with the ideas and the general public (some of them anyway) fuel the fire. A bit off topic but it's a lot like professional sports. There's a lot of bitching about athlete salaries but the season passess still get bought.

Ever turn on the TV any more and just watch commercials ?? I tried it one night. Not hard since for an hours worth of programming there is typically 20 minutes of the actual show and the rest is commercial time. Point being ...many of the commercials/ads are pretty insulting to the intelligence. And they keep on running them over and over and over again ..ad anausium !!

I throw fish at all my problems. My landlord wasn't amused.

    Neither was my boss.

Why blame Al Gore, after all if he hadn't invented the internet we wouldn't be here discussing whatever we are discussing.
