Default Parking around Hot Springs, NC

Going out on a 3 day, heard parking for a few days could be shady around Hot Springs and was wondering if anyone had any trouble ever. There is a lot across the river but was wanting to maybe park at Roundtop Ridge and hiking the 3.1 to the AT but you have to park on the side of the road next to the trail head.

    Suggestions?

I would park at the trail head south of Hot Springs. The parking lot is right at the Laughing Heart Lodge hostel.

We always park at the public parking lot and have never had a problem. I would rather park there than the AT trailhead on the south side of town but I'm sure they're equally safe.

The public parking lot in the center of town is probably your best bet. I have parked there several times without incident. You won't be alone there.
