    Default FS/FT: SMD Skyscape Trekker

Up for grabs is a SMD Skyscrape Trekker. 24 ounces. Setup but never used in the field. Factory seem sealed ($30 savings). $225 shipped.

    From SMD's site:

Skyscape models utilize a dual (trekking or optional fixed length 45" or 115 cm) pole support structure, slightly offset from the center of the tent. The offset yields extra head room when lying down, reducing that claustrophobic feeling. Further, it allows the Skyscape to be extremely rigid when guyed out, creating a structure capable of riding out the worst storms.

The Skyscape employs Hybrid Double Wall construction. Over 80% of the canopy is separated from you by a mesh wall, keeping that wet canopy at bay. The Hybrid Double Wall construction allows the vestibules roll back. On warm summer nights, convert theSkyscapeinto a net tent, pesky bugs stay outside while you enjoy the views and breezes.

The Skyscape's large side entry door lets you easily enter the tent or retrieve gear . With floor length over 100 inches, the Skyscape accommodates the tallest hikers. You can carry a light tent and still sleep well.

Don't know if this is the direction you want to go but I have a brand new OR advanced bivy I'd trade. I set it up once in the house and discovered I'm definitely not a bivy person.

A hadn't considered a bivy. I'll have to do a bit of research.

For what it's worth. Size wise I use a large xtherm and had plenty of room for myself with a bulky 0* quilt. I'm 6ft 215lbs

Which is a great deal. If you add seem sealing from SMD it's an additional $30 which brings you to $205 plus shipping. This one is seem sealed.

Thanks Octo. What's next? How do I pay you etc? I have a PayPal account or I can send you a check. It might be easier if we did this by email - [email protected]. Best, Irish/Noel
