Default My Life as a Turkey

"My Life as a Turkey" recreates a yearlong experiment of naturalist-writer Joe Hutto, who bonded with a dozen wild turkey chicks during the first year of their lives.
It's that time of year again. If you haven't already seen it in the past check your local PBS listings for this documentary. For those that haven't had much experience with wild turkeys it covers some interesting facts.

Filmed near Sopchoppy Florida, it also has some good filming of natural community in that part of the state.

I liked the show about the ducks. The eider ducks diving & flying under the water and under the ice to grab clams on the bottom really blew my mind!

Thanks for the heads up. Had a pair visiting my birdfeeder regularly last year. Should have seen the look on my cats face first time he saw them. One of those "do I eat that or leap away and run"

Told him to leave them alone they love to feed on tics.
