    Default Hiking shoes: Asolo Reston

Anyone out there used the Asolo Reston lightweight hiking boots for long distance hikes? I'm skeptical of most hiking gear, footwear or clothes that win the Backpacker Editor's Choice awards, and these boots were a 2013 award winner. But I would rather hear some hiker reviews from WB users than what that magazine is selling. tia

I have a pair of Asolo Synchiro GTX that are similar in looks to the Restons. My only minor issue with them is the toe box and soles are quite stiff and don't give me a good enough grip on the trail when it's rough going.

I wear asolo drifters, they feel so good I could sleep in them. I have a lower arc and medium to wide foot and they fit perfectly. Very fast break in time..
