Hey Ron, I stayed at the Budget inn in Franklin this year on my thru hike and took advantage of the free shuttle to and from town. Thanks for making everything a little easier. Hope to see you again out there some day.

    Ron,
My wife and I have stayed at your inns a couple of times in the past when doing section hikes but never had the opportunity to meet you personally. Our past stays have been very enjoyable and we look forward to seeing you next spring during our thru hike. Thanks for all you do to support the hiking community.

Just a reminder that in Georgia you can come in to Hiawassee from Unicoi about the same distance to Helen. We are open at Hiawassee Budget Inn if you need a ride, call us 706-896-4121 We do accept mail drops and hand carry mail drops from Hiawassee Budget Inn to Franklin Budget Inn for free. We also have on site laundry with washing powder free. Many restaurants, grocery stores, and cold beer are within 2 blocks.

Here's a photo of the lovely ladies who take care of the Budget Inn in Franklin. Taken last May.

My wife and I stayed at the Budget in both Hiawasse and Franklin on our hike in 2013.

The services Ron offered were great and we remember those lifts to and from the trail and to go shopping. It was a big help and we appreciate how well we were treated.

I can 100% vouch for Ron.

The guy is fantastic, the Sapphire Inn was great. The mexican food place across the street is worth the trip alone. Ron also sings, plays a mean guitar, and drives a bus to Walmart/Post office if you need it. It's a no brainer.

The day I stayed we had multiple hikers staying, we all had a get together in a room, drank beers, played guitar, sang.... was a great time.

Hi, Ron, Long time no See! I spent some time with you on my last big section a few years ago, and you inspired me to become a pro wrestler! (well, not really...). I will be coming your way in about a month or so, keep the lights on!
