    Default Saturday Night Music Thread

Its Saturday night and we have taken ourselves way too seriously this week and so I propose a music thread...

Post up to three songs that you listen to while hiking, that gets out out of the now and thinking about hiking, or that you just enjoy.

The first poster on each new page (#1, #41, #81, #121, etc) gets to set the musical theme for their page.

And Page 1 will be cover songs... enjoy.

I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.

    Karl,
Great tune! Love all the selections, but Pink Floyd takes me way back. For the trivia minded, Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best selling albums of all time and has sold in excess of 40 million copies worldwide. Today it still sells several thousand copies per month. Thanks to all for the good sounds.

Thanks July for the link. It strongly reminds me a group called Cold Blood and the song Too Many People which I heard back in 1971---female vocals and trumpets---

Thank you for the distraction Tuckahoe64!

Only so much reading the youth are destroying the trail. Close down Baxter Park! Re-route the trail! HYOH is ruining the trail!

Just switch out the ocean for the mountains. This kid has some major talent as only being a 19 year old kid from Australia. He is a great surfer also.

    Enjoy!

First off great idea, I guess I'm closing out this page. I'm gonna like this thread though. I thought I had some great ideas because I listen to music all the time while hiking, but thinking about covers gave me a headache for a second. These are covers of (in order) songs by The Kinks, Bob Dylan, and Dick Burnett.

There's no reward at the end for the most miserable thru-hiker.
After gear you can do a thru for $2,000.
No training is a substitute for just going and hiking the AT. You'll get in shape.
