Default Would you bring micro spikes from Woody gap to deep gap or NOC to Fontana dam?

Hoping weather clears for a section hike mid - late next week...debating on picking up some spikes? Thoughts??

Salty it's been pretty wet up here in North Ga no winter weather you should be fine with out them. The road to deep gap is closed for the winter just fyi. NOC to Fontana is the same its just been rainy and probably muddy. I'm not sure what next weeks forecast is though. Hope this helps

For what its worth, at this time of year I throw a pair of microspikes into the pack as part of the basic gear load. Having been caught without them once when I needed them, in my view its worth the small additional weight to tote them along.

Just helluva lot of RAIN here in W.N.C no snow or sleet/ice, but i would throw in a pair microspikes just in case. you never know when the weathewr might change out their this time of year any thing can happen.
