Looks like one on each side of town.
The south side will probably be where whites grocery was. There is open store space there.
The north side will probably be where the whites used be that is now tractor supply. Most hikers now the plaza area due to the Mexican restaurant. I think there is two empty store fronts there.
    Times are change'n.......

I have lived in some dry counties in Virginia years ago, and recall the Virginia Blue Laws, when you couldn't even buy baby diapers on a Sunday

How difficult is it to train your baby to hold their poop until Monday?

It isn't just the South. My town in Connecticut was dry for decades after the repeal of prohibition. They went "wet" gradually, first allowing sales in restaurants, then liquor stores a few years later. The last dry town in Connecticut, Bridgewater, voted to go wet in 2014.

Washington State had the Washington State Liquor Stores.

I think beer was included. I never saw beer in a grocery store.

When I hiked through the south in the late 80's you couldn't even buy a beer in any of the trail towns.

Ocracoke is in North Carolina and they do have a liquor store. The island's self proclaimed nickname is "the quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem ."

Ok, I don't get it. What is so important about drinking on the AT that someone would be concerned about some dry towns.

And the county in NJ that still doesn't allow stores to open on Sunday (though I think groceries are allowed to open, which would help with the diapers but not the alcohol).

Erwin has always had liquor, it was never taxed though.

looks like the town is getting ready for when the stores do open up...
