Cool Meeting at Harpers Ferry - Hike a week then exit

I'm starting my thru hike March 17 from Springer. I'm meeting a friend at Harpers Ferry - Hike a week then they will exit. Does anyone know where there is road access, say.... 70 miles north of Harpers Ferry? Or if any suggestions about ingress - egress. Thanks

Caladonia State Park, at US route 30, is right around 60 miles from Harper's Ferry.

And about 12-15 miles north of Caledonia, a couple miles north of Birch Run shelter, is a road crossing with a small parking lot.

That's a real nice stretch of trail from Harpers Ferry north. It'll be a nice walk.

I second Pine Grove Furnace State Park as a good spot to get off the trail. Everything was closed when I was there last spring but it should be great when the store is open.
