Elf; I'm glad you realize you have a problem, the biggest issue is that it's a 3,000,000 step program!!!!

    . 50-60lbs was a good weight.

I just received a few weeks ago... ULA Circuit.
What are you doing with my Pack! Workhorse of a pack and bombproof. But Alas, I am finalizing my gear list and ready to purchase the ULA Ohm (if I can get that light). If not, I will be in the Circuit with you.

However, this pack holds many many memorable trips and like me - is now Vintage!

I just sold off most of my other packs or gave them to the scouts. Other then the Granite Gear Vapor Trail (2006 model) that I'm still trying to sell, the only pack I have left that I've been using for the past couple of years is my ULA CDT pack: 54 L total (only 35L of that is internal, the rest is in external pockets) weighing 19oz with most of the options removed as I don't use them.

Mostly used 1. go lite Dawn for long hikes it's a light frameless pack holds about 27 liters. I have used 2. Osprey exos 58 quite a bit , including the finishing leg of the AT, had a bunch more but am considering switching to the MLD Prophet.

I have used several different ones over the years but my go to pack is my ULA Catalyst. Lightweight and it holds all my stuff well.

My packs are all homemade, unfortunately DIY to a gear junkie means making a new pack every winter! I am working on revision 7 now. Z-packs now has their hybrid cuben fiber material in Camo to match my hiking shirt, cap, and tent. I just have to bulid one more pack.

It was my favorite until I got a ZPacks ArcBlast. Only issue was I got a medium when I should have been using a large. Other than that, loved it.

Pack list from the beginning (I sense a pattern of smaller and lighter):

    Kelty Coyote 80L
    Osprey Exos 56L
    GoLite Jam 50L
    Gossamer Gear Gorilla 38L

Next step: Fanny pack (just kidding)

Glad to hear, I have read the sizes run small. I have a 19" torso and am thinking the large over the medium. I'm excited to see what the flash 45 is like. At less than $100 for a supposedly well made lightweight pack, it's hard not to like already. I love high value gear.

Headin to REI this week to try one on. If it fits I'm going to buy it and use it all this year. If I still like it, no reason no to take it on my thru.

This pack would fit well in my budget, ultralight lifestyle.

    Thanks again

Hehe, I managed to get a few thousand of those steps done while breaking fresh snow in last weekend. Here's the giant Gregory Baltoro that is part of my zero degree kit, sitting in Riga
    shelter.

Just bought a Flash 45 in large. You are correct about the 50L. So far, in the store, and loading it up at home, it feels pretty good imho.

Can't wait to break it in and use it this year in the white mountains for day hikes and some multi day trips
