Which are your most stunning and awe inspiring, I-could-die-here sections for you?
Which are your most stunning and awe inspiring, I-could-die-here sections for you?
Are you talking about the view, or are you talking about dangerous sections?

Segments 7 and 8 - TenMile Range and Elk Ridge
Segments 21-24 - includes the CT's highest point at 13,270'
San Juans - hands down drop dead gorgeous
I'll add a vote in favour CookerHiker's suggestion of sections 8 and 9. I would also add a vote for San Luis Pass.
Collegiate West Cottonwood Pass to Tincup Pass Road. And the San Juans. And the Ten mile range. And Serle and Kokomo Passes. I could go on!

1. San Juan's (San Luis to Coney to the Weminuche to Elk Creek and up to Molas is my favorite with Elk Creek at the top of the list);
2. 10 Mile Range with Searle & Kokomo Passes.
I haven't fully hiked Collegiate West yet, but I hear it's definately top three. SJ Ron
Believe it or not, one of my favorite areas are the aspens in the Lost Creek Wilderness. it is not grand or jaw dropping, but is an area that is peaceful, beautiful and quiet. If my life ended there, I could not think of a better area.
Sometimes the more subtle places are just as inspiring.
