Default Slatington Pa. a friendly town

I just finished a section hike to Lehigh Gap, Pa. and stayed overnight in Slatington. I found the town friendly, especially the new owners of the Slatington Diner, AKA Charlotte Fay's Main Street Diner, Jason and Jolene. They are open BLD, friendly, and eager for hiker business. The food was great, reasonable, and the service friendly. I promised to mention them on WB. Ph: (610) 767-4422. So, FYI.

Where did you stay in Slatington? I've been concerned because the hostel in plamerton is closed.
