I've got AWOL's from last year, and I'm not seeing this in there, so I thought I'd ask here.
Are there any places to stay in Boiling Springs that allows dogs?

I believe there is a campsite right before the town, but it is near the railroad tracks...

I can personally verify that a train will come by about every 30 minutes the entire night. THE worst nights sleep I have ever had on any trail.

I think some peoe an tolerate the trains better than others. I'm generally a deep sleeper and I slept at this campsite in December this year. i did not wake up once during the night so it worked out fine for me.
Although more trains go through Duncannon, they honk for the grade crossing beside the Sunday Farm campsite in Boiling Springs. Nobo's in high summer with leaves out, if you haven't heard about the "midnight train" campsite are caught unawares by the SQURRONK!
There is a very nice campsite about 4 miles trail south.
I agree with Donde on the sites south. There is also a stream running through here if sleeping next to a water source is a priority.
