Question Suggestions needed for Pearisburg Shuttle

My problem isn't that there is a lack of shuttle drivers in Pearisburg.
It's more of an embarrassment of riches.
I just need some advice on who would best meet my needs, before I try to contact a lot of people, and find out that my first picks aren't available or usable.

    What I'm looking for:

    1) Can make arrangements (or at least TRY) less than a week in advance. Being the wimp that I am, I don't make plans for my week-long hikes until I'm sure the weather will be clear most of the days.
    2) Park my car in Pearisburg on a Monday afternoon.
    3) Get a shuttle to Virginia Highway 621 (ie, just north of Blacksburg, about 680 miles from Springer)
    4) Return to my car later that week, having parked it at a safe place for the week.

The earliest I could even try this hike would be Monday, June 8; and I would probably not make a final decision to contact a shuttle driver much before Friday, June 5.

Any suggestions on drivers who could handle this with just a few days notice?

I suggest Don Raines, but have no idea about his availability. You'll have to ask him. He was very friendly and accommodating when he shuttled me a while back.

Don Raines is good and just explain your proposed plans and call when you finalize. Also: The Woods Hole Hostel shuttles. They let you park your car there as well.

Unhappy Thanks - I considered the Woods Hole Hostel

But I just don't think I can hike that far south in the amount of time I've allowed for myself.
Yes, I'm aware it's not THAT far past Pearisburg, but I'm very cognizant of my hiking abilities (actually, my lack thereof); and have to accept I can't make it that far.

I'll almost certainly be staying at Woods Hole soon after the hike I mentioned. But, for right now, I'm just going to Pearisburg.

Smile Thanks for the quick reply!

I long ago lost track of the number of times that fellow hikers have helped me out, mainly because my calculator doesn't go up to 100,000,000.
It's always nice to get one more bit of help in the form of advice, and it is much appreciated.
