    Default Kelty Cosmic Down 40?

So I have the opportunity to buy a brand new cosmic down 40 for about $50 which I feel is really cheap for a down bag that is 1lb 13 oz. It's not what I want as I want a 30 degree quilt but for $50 I think I should buy it. Anyone have one and what are your thoughts as I currently don't own a down bag? Looking for some reviews good or bad.

    Thanks

My first thought is, that's about $200 cheaper for a bag that is a wee bit heavier and a wee bit higher rated than my bag. Sounds like a good deal to pull the pin on. Never owned a Kelty cosmic, but have read Good things here about them.

Sounds like a great deal on a real decent down bag. Kelty bags can be bulky but a compression dry sack can help with that.

I have a Cosmic 20 long and think it's a terrific value, and I'd expect the same from a 40. Construction is solid. I wear size XL and feel a bit cramped in it, that would be my only drawback, otherwise is a solid bag.
