Default TTS #37 - The Hot Springs Trail

Show #37 – Summatime! On this month’s show, we tribute to Wild Bill, the Trail Show hits 200,000, D-Low goes to New Mexico, special guest Aria Zoner talks to us about the Hot Springs Trail and wholefoodhiker.com, POD elaborates on the virtues of preparation, Mags vacations at a massacre site, hammock piñatas are not recommended, and we take a look at “Tracks.” We also lift our sombreros to our Trail Show monthly donors, read a few memorandums from the Mailbag and Mags talks ducks during the Gear Review

And as always … Beer O’ Da Month (courtesy of John Miller), Trail News with Mags, Trail O’ Da Month (Hot Springs Trail), Disco’s Trail Tip O’ Da Month and Ask-A-Hiker with D-Low.

Enjoyed it. I wanted to know more about Zoner's Hot Springs Tr. I think I've finally found a record category I'm inspired and abundantly qualified to take a shot at - the LKS - Longest Known Soak.

    Liked Zoner's phrase Superfood Epiphany.

I am actually intrigued not so much by the HST, but the route he has laid out for Nevada.

    Seems interesting and remote.

ps. I think the LKS is the best record ever!!!

I'm yet to look deeply into Zoner's Nevada Tr route but sounds interesting. Great Basin NP(around Wheeler Peak, Highland Ridge TR) are shweet, I always wanted to do a traverse from Wheeler over to Baker Lake picking up the Highland Ridge Tr either in that order or reversing the route), Toyiabe Crest and Ruby Crest Trails are the kinds of things you'd like as you enjoy those ridge line hikes too. I would like to compare his route through Nevada to that of the Desert Trail in NV that Colter took.
