    Default High Uinta Mountains

Ill start it off with a trip I did last weekend (non AT). I was told last Monday that on Wednesday I was going to a work facility in Ashton ID and I had been looking to extend a work trip through a weekend. I called up a friend from high school and he planned out a trip to the High Uinta Mountains a few hours from SLC. We ended up spending Fri-Sunday hiking up to Ryder Lake and then I caught a late afternoon flight back home on Sunday. I was able to test out some new gear and experience some new environment, animals, hiking buddy, and had an awesome time.

Great place. Mags and I hiked the Uintah Highline Trail a couple of years ago.
