The remains of hiker missing on Mt. Rainier has been found.

More than a year ago, Edwin Burch went missing on Mt. Rainier. He was hiking the Wonderland Trail near Panhandle Gap. Apparently, he lost the trail and wandered near the Frying Pan Glacier. An extensive search failed to find him last year. Last weekend a group of hikers who were hiking off trail found human remains. The remains have not been officially identified, but because of the location it seems certain that they are Burch's remains.

I remember that. Where did they find the remains? I often wondered if he fell victim to the glacier somehow.
