    Default Hot Springs

Anyone have a good guess at when the thru hiker bubble gets to Hot Springs? Thinking of going up there this coming spring and doing some trail magic.

    Thanks!

It's not round like a balloon, it's much more elongated, with several mini-bubbles created by weather and other events. We have encountered plenty of thru-hikers in the Hot Springs area in mid-March, but I'd expect there are plenty more over a month-long span.

Usually late March to late April. Follow Hot Springs's TrailFest.

There is usually a group that hosts something at one of the gaps south of Hot Springs every year.

The heart of the NOBO thru-hike pack goes through Hot Springs in the middle of April -- it's spread out enough that you see plenty of thru-hikers at least 3 weeks both before and after that date as well.
