Default Holiday Tent specials TT or SMD?

Just wondering if there have typically been specials offered year end from either of these. Planning on making the purchase this year. Keep banging my head btwn, Lunar Solo, Notch, and Rainbow. Was curious if an offer might make my decision easier....

Don't think TT do. They're a low-margin cottage business so can't just hack half their prices off on black Friday.

You might be able to get a 'second' from them for a lower price, depending on what they have in stock.

Solid Savings at SMD right now. Think it made my decision for the Lunar Solo.

Yeah, SMD on-sale. I love my Skyscape Trekker. Really cool tent -- takes two trekking poles though. Double-side entry really worth it to me.

Depends how low you pitch it... I find it adequate... Room for empty pack, shoes, etc... I could cook with my jetboil type stove if I had too. Selling points for me were dual entry, length (I'm 6'4"), weight, it pitches with only 5 stakes, and it sort of acts like a double wall tent. After 3 pitches I had it down and I can now pitch in <2 mins. I stake tail, then beak, then poles/vestibules. I had SMD seal mine. It's pretty roomy... I could squeeze another hiker in in a real pinch. If you always carry two poles, this is a good tent.
