As many may have noticed, we tech types can be a bit obsessed, but not OCD, with physics, mechanics, scientific method, procedure, etc. Sometimes we are obsessed with trying to help others understand why our methods better represent reality. We are patient, but usually give up on the second or third "forehead meets wall" cycle.

Debating methodology isn't OCD behavior. Weighing one's pack, putting it in the trunk, pulling out of the driveway - and then having an anxiety attack, requiring returning back down the driveway to weigh it to see if the weight has somehow changed, and while there checking to see if the coffeemaker is still turned off, 7 or 8 times - that's OCD behavior. And it's a serious, life limiting medical issue.
