I think mine is the 3rd of May but I haven't heard back as of yet. I'm not supposed to call to check or refill a ticket but they are opening up the last slots tomorrow?
April 11 here
I'm hiking permit-less (because I'm hiking sub-500 miles--I only need permits for San Jacinto area). I can't make up my mind: March 25 so I can use that holiday as part of my vacation or wait a month or so and earn another vacation day. Comes up equal. Which will get me more desert flowers, is what I want to know? Is there some web page where you can see all the permit dates that have been issued? A desire to avoid the biggest crowds might help me decide.
Some knew me as Piper, others as just Diane.
I hiked the PCT: Mexico to Mt. Shasta, 2008. Santa Barbara to Canada, 2009.

I just got mine approved for sobo on Independence Day! Anyone else starting @ then or have started @ then? I'm wondering if this is considered a late start? My goal would be to get through the Sierra's while VVR & places like that are still open.
