Caratunk Post office - still open?

I'm looking to do a maildrop in Caratunk. Is it still open? I remember hearing that this post office was on the closure list.

Give them a call. My local PO was on a closure list two years ago. It's still open, just with reduced hours.

According to USPS it's only open M-F 2p to 4p, and Sat 7:30a to 11:15a. Did you call during those times?

Might try calling the Bingham Post Office 207-672-5582

That's where the mail was being sent after the fire, they would know if the Caratunk office re-opened.

That place is one of the best spots on the AT and he has a pretty good store in there with exclusively hiker foods! You can easily ressupply there
