    It's sad that people, however good hearted, think they are making the Trail better. No one in Maine call it the 100 Mile Wilderness any more. Typically, just the "100 Mile", now. We've lost something important here. What's happening to our Trail?

    As for that "Man against nature" comment? We don't live in the 19th century any more.

    Paul, thank for your support of hikers. Can you find a way to do it that stays true to the plaque on Springer: "For those who seek fellowship with the Wilderness"?

    Why is this concept only limited to one vacation category? Why not....Beach Angels? You know, someone to bring you mai tai's, sunscreen, etc. while you're at the beach.

    Paul seems like a good soul who means well, but the concept baffles me.
