Some months ago they came out with a similar concept for wine and other alcohol beverages...but no carbonation required. Just some powder packets to add to water. However, some states are now outlawing them...citing fears of access by minors....Yeah, right...anything just to increase the government's control over you, and ability to get more tax revenue.

im glad that the state i live in (tennessee) has outlawed powered alcohol....

it would take nothing more than one kid to snort this crap and die......

we have enough problems in tennessee with other forms of alcohol that we dont need to introduce another one into the mix.....

(and yeah, tennessee had a kid who came close to dying a few years ago after a butt chugging incident).....

Yeah... never mind that powdered alcohol is a farce and makes no sense.

Instant beer is to beer as McDonald's is to food.

It is OK. Roughly equivalent to a Shiner Bock or Juengling. The sodas are very tasty, however.

As fyi, it is not instant beer per se ..more like beer concentrate.

As a fan of both beers, I take offense. Grinning.
Can't wait to get to North Carolina and have a taste of some great micro-brews.

HEy I like Shiner Bock (SPoetzl) and Juenging. It is decent, cheaper beer. Seriously. I probably should have said that a bit more clearly. I occasionally pick up a Spoeztl 12 pack for $12 next door. Compared to $20 or more for the local craft beer. Just to mix it up.

    But it ain't great.

After Duchesse De Bourgogne all else pales in comparison.
There's a great little micro-brewery in Boone, NC. A food truck with a wood fired pizza oven parks out back. Kids playing soccer behind the food truck. It doesn't get any better. I'll send y'all a picture.

Blatant plug for the microbrewery mentioned above. And it's kinda close to the AT.
