Default Shuttle services - Amicalola and Unicoi gap

We're trying to get in touch with Joyce Monroe and Sally Smith for a shuttle next week (Wednesday evening or Thursday morning) to Amicaloa and then May 31 from Unicoi Gap hopefully to Franklin. We've tried their phone number but aren't able to leave a message (says the machine isn't setup). Does anyone have an alternate way to get in touch with them, or other suggestions? Thanks!

I used Ron Haven in the Franklin area several times last week, fair prices, and an outstanding person that goes the extra mile for hikers in the area. 828-524-4403.

What are the shuttle options to get a ride up to top of Springer to avoid the approach trail?

We are using the Hiker Hostel. They are picking us up at the Amicalola parking lot, taking us back to the Hostel, and then to Springer the next morning. They've been very accommodating and easy to deal with.

Does that mean the Hiker Hostel is still in service? I read somewhere that they want to sell the hostel (or maybe they already did). I sent a request for 2017 and it hasn't been answered yet. Is it running at the moment (and in 2017)? Many thanks!
Ich will, dass ihr mich versteht.
