    Kristof is doing the PCT in sections for years and writes an editorial about the trail at least once a year. If you search the NYTimes site you can fine more of his reports from the trail.

    Yes, I've been reading his annual trail report for years, too. I especially liked this year's anecdote about coaxing his daughter, when she was four years old, to walk with the promise of a treat if she could do it. Who hasn't resorted to such shameless bribery, and not just on the trail?
