    Default Girls Week - Southern edition?

    I'm planning a 3 night trip from Winding Stair Gap (Franklin, NC) to the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) setting out July 10th. It's 28 miles and will be my first multi-day trip. I am a beginner and a slow hiker, so I would love to have some company on the trail and after seeing how many ladies are getting together for the trip farther north, I wondered if anyone would be interested in joining me who can't make it up to the Harper's Ferry expedition.

    I'm not sure how I'll get there yet because I need to help my sister move in Birmingham after that and need to leave my car at home, but I'll figure that out shortly.

    Dual purpose: I'm soliciting any advice for hiking this section at this time of year!

    I am from Florida and myself and some friends would be interested in some southern hikes. By the dates you might be out on the trail, lets chat when you get back.
