Judging by the dates of the first posts in the 2016 forum I would guess anytime...

Hoping for another attempt in '17. So far things are looking good, but life happens sometimes. Still as hopeful as my 1st attempt and I still want to see every blaze!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one chomping at the bit. A couple hikers I'm following this year summited Katahdin recently and it started to feel real. Gear is down to fine tuning. Three shakedown hikes planned for the fall. Right now I'm focusing on physical training (weights, yoga, cardio, hiking of course). I'm NOBO from Springer March 27th.

gear is more or less done, just need some fine tuning on a few small trips, first day off work is March 25th, then where i take the plane to the US the 26 which hopefully makes me able to have the start date at Springer March 28th

work is already starting to just be some filler while i plan/do stuff for my trip

I have almost all of my gear, just waiting on my EE quilt and need to figure out stuff like clothing, first aid kit, etc. Have a one way ticket to ATL for March 15th 2017!

I am also excited. I am planning to start the trail March 17. I have a few short trips planned just to test the gear that I have to make sure there will be no problems. Can't wait...

RyNo followed your hike on youtube and it was an excellent source of information, especially for someone coming from overseas. Ticket booked and arriving Atlanta 10th Mar, stepping off on the 12th.
