If you're on the taller side and use trekking poles the solong6 is an excellent choice.

I have a solong6 a Tarptent Rainshadow and a Big Agnes Fly Creek UL3. I Love the Solong6 Im 6'2" fits all your gear too! I Hate the Rainshadow its a poor design doesnt set up right with its bathtub floor. I tried a 100 different ways too! Also don't like the poles in front of door opening. Its a 2 person anyway. The Fly Creek 1,2 or 3 Is nice very solid tent. Can't go wrong with one of those.
I'm selling my Rainshadow and getting a LHG Duo not much heavier than the solong6.

If I were to hit the AT again for longer than 2 weeks I'd get this.

    Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL2 - 2lbs 5oz

You would be much bett served by looking at the multitude of factors, what's important to you, that would go into finding that perfect shelter FOR YOU. How important is quick setup, what is your tolerance for bugs, you size, budget, whether you take trekking poles, will it ever need to be used by more than 1 etc. The question as asked will do little other than generate a list of random shelters and people talking one point or another. If you don't have the experience to lay out these factors then you would be much better served by hiking as much as possible with the gear you have to gain the experience to lay out the factors that are important to you.

I'm glad it worked for you. Others may disagree.

Used a BA Flycreek UL1. Great tent. I only slept in shelters a couple of times and three huts. Slept with all my gear and food inside the tent. Lighter is better!

If you'd like a freestanding tent = Brooks Range "Foray" (2lb 90z). If you'd go with a tent that sets up with your poles and stakes out the Lightheart "Solo" (28 oz) or "Solong" (1lb 14.6 oz)- depending on your size. They are available at both Top of Georgia Outfitters and Woody Gap Outfitters.
