Would love to see everyone's best and/or favorite picture they have ever taken on the AT. I figured through the 2,000+ miles, there's probably some good ones!

Here's mine. It was taken at Carvers Gap last November. I was so excited for my first AT trip (which failed miserably but still had a blast) at around 11 am. It was a very overcast day, it kept drizzling on & off and the trail was very muddy. I smelled my first thru-hiker (I could have passed out), carried the wrong size pack, and nearly cried when we came to John Murray shelter because we thought we had hiked 5 miles already (my friend's pedometer was way off!) Anyway, it's my favorite picture because after our ride drove off, I thought I had a made a huge mistake doing this hike. Now I can't wait to do it again!

Race Cliffs? 1azarus snapped one of me just a few steps away from there. In a different season, obviously. That section is a great trip on snowshoes.

You have likely head my "almost walked off a cliff nighthiking in a thunderstorm." story. That's The exact spot where it happened. That 90 degree turn on the cliff face still scares me when I pass it.
