Default Resupply and Food: What worked and what didn't

I hiked the JMT SOBO from late July through early August, and wrote about what worked and what didn't with food and resupplies. Hopefully it is helpful to those planning on doing the JMT in 2017 and beyond!

Thanks, Heather! I'm planning for August 2017 and this will be very helpful. I appreciate you sharing!

No problem! I really loved my time on the trail, and am happy to share information with other hikers.

Thanks for the insight. I am planning a late August 2017 southbound hike.

Shall we put things in perspective? One annoying Catch 22 between 1969 and today: the bear can rule and the denial of the Ursack on the JMT.

I doubt very seriously that this Geezer could complete the JMT in 9 days.
I wouldn't mind working up to 9 - 10 days on a trail somewhere. No re supply.
