Im off for the rest of year now, because didnt get to use my planned trip this yr in Sept.
But its too late to go anywhere id really like now
So ill take a few short trips to stay in shape

I was just about to ask the OP if I could change my choice to "More time to hike". Even in retirement life keeps getting in the way of really living.

I got that this year! Working at a university now that gives 30 days of paid time off per year, and doles it out in chunks each paycheck. They don't count weekends, so that is 6 weeks of PTO per year. If I really want to tick off the wife, that's six 9 day hikes per year. LOL (just kidding, honey!)

Triple the amount of vacation time at work.
