    Default Parking at Bland/Bastian VA

I am planning a several day section hike soon ending at Bland/Bastian VA and am wondering if there is a good place to leave my vehicle close to the trailhead where I emerge at US 52 or do do I have to hike/hitch to Bland?

While there is space to park at the US 52 crossing near Bland, I wouldn't be comfortable leaving my car there for several days. There is a well known overlook right there and it seems like the area gets a decent amount of traffic from non-hikers.

There is a shuttle driver, Bubba, who operates out of Bland, (276)-730-5869. Shouldn't cost much to go the 3 or so miles between town and the trail crossing. He could probably recommend somewhere to leave your car. The Big Walker Motel might be an option. Of course, I would call and speak to the manager first.
