    April? AT? Hot Springs north?

The only guarantee. No guarantee you'll be able to see it. Microspikes through the Roan Highlands? Why not?

Second (at least here in NY) only to the one in 88 (1888, that is)

And the (sort of) funny coincidence is that both of those storms ended on... March 14th.

    And Tuesday's date is... hmm...

The early to mid Feb starting NOBOs will see snow, sleet, and ice. No surprise. It happens in April too at elevation.

A lot. I was a middle school teacher and school census in the areas showed a bubble for that age group.

Tuesday forecast for Boone, NC. Elevation 3,400 feet.

Mind the wind at higher elevations.

On the other hand, the experience of being snowed in for multiple days while caring for young children is one of the most effective birth controls ever invented.

Ha...was more concerned about the loads of hammerheads and bulls that pack the pass to eat the tarpon. The world record hammerhead was caught hear a few years back.....We left this site at 2am to get across the harbor as the wind dropped under 20kts. I was in the drink twice but was out of the water so fast barely got wet! Unfortunately weather didn't cooperate and so we didn't make chokoloskee check point in time. 3 days paddling 18-20 hours per day took its toll.

Florida has some pretty wild critters above and below the water. I was reading about the tribal men from India hired to hunt down the pythons in the Everglades.

In Colorado we just worry about the mountain lions, moose and tripping over the homeless hippies in front of the pot shops.

Wayne, I learned the hard way not to ditch my spikes before I know for sure there's no more winter ahead!
