Default where to buy 1/8 compressed foam ?

Looking for some insight on where to buy A roll of 1/8 compressed foam from or just A piece of it.
I have checked on various online ripstopbytheroll type places to no avail.
My goal is to make A few sleeping pads like the ones gossamer gear sells.
    Thanks in advance.
If I die trying now I wont die wondering how life could have turned out.....

    Try www.oware.com

Got several from them years ago-still going strong-gray closed cell foam makes great thermal barrier.

If OW, GG, or Lawson doesn't have what you want check this out http://www.foamforyou.com/volara_foam.htm I bought a 60" wide by 8 ' long piece of 1/8" and 1/4" each and made 4 pads. You want CCF.

It's not CCF. It will absorb water. All I've seen is made from chemically treated recycled foam car seats or recycled felt that has a WR face layer that delaminates with use...all of which are heavy and/or bulky. Something in the manufacturing process, perhaps the chemicals, give all of it I've ever seen a weird to me offensive odor. Some family members have been in the flooring store biz for decades.

What you want is 1/8" EVA. (<----that's a link)

Scroll to second one, which is the EVA.

This available in the carpet dept. along with the hardwood flooring:

Roberts Black Jack 2-in-1 Premium foam is a 2.5mm underlayment with attached vapor barrier. This underlayment is excellent for cushioning between the subfloor and your new flooring. It also absorbs sound to reduce noise. This Black Jack underlayment has a unique closed-cell foam design, which helps resist moisture. There is a 4" attached overlap and adhesive strip to make installation a breeze. This underlayment is safe to install with radiant heated floors as well.

    • Thickness: 2.5mm
    • Full Roll Content: 100 SQ.FT/Roll
    • Roll Width: 43 in.
    • Roll Length: 28 ft.
    • Material: Closed-Cell Foam and Plastic Overlap

That's the only possible thing I could think of after having posted you might be referring. TU for the correction Zelph. I thought 2.5 mm thickness was less than 1/8 of an inch. Here I was incorrectly assuming it was just alchy stoves your were an expert in.

How has that worked for you? Never tried it.

Wood stoves are my expertise, alchy stoves are my hobby. Sgt. Rock, Dances with Mice and Skidsteer were my inspiration in stove design.

I use the underlayment in my car camping tent as an entry carpet to protect the floor fabric.

Is it red? Rolling out the red carpet to the tent treatment?

that's what I've ordered in 1/8 and 1/4 thicknesses..the Volara. What I like is it's rollable and foldable in these thicknesses. Hope it works for you.
