Default MarchNB Anyone looking for a starting partner?

Ok, so I don't need one, but I'm curious if anyone is interested in starting together in early March? I don't have much of a standard except no cry babies. SUCK IT UP AND SMILE! Also, I'm a Deist so religious beliefs make me uncomfortable and you probably don't want to hear what I have to say. If you don't have experience, we'll learn together and if you do, then maybe you can show me a thing or two. I plan on taking it easy and not rushing anything. If you're a speed freak, then I'm not the one. I have no deadline other than making it to Katahdin before the park closes. I'm very friendly, but street smart so that won't be a problem. For those of you with myspace, here's another way to check out a little more about me. Hope to hear from ya!

I haven't set a date yet. I just know I want it to be early March. (Probably not the 1st because that seems to be when everyone and their grandmother is leaving.)

I'm sure we'll meet at some point then because you'll probably pass me! I guess I should be looking for a hammock?

If school works out for me. I am tentivly planning on starting March 18 ish. About 55 days away and so much to do.

And yes look at hammocks. Just as a warning though. They are adicting, but take some work and thought to get right. Especially in the cold. But once you do, they are great.

    Wooooo Hooooo

Today I bought my airplane ticket to Atlanta from Toronto for March 18th afternoon...so I will be on the AT Monday, March 19th...at Springer summit between 10-11:30 am.

I hope some neat guys and gals will be there to keep me company as I am scared of bears and scared of sleeping in the woods all alone at night.

I can see us all now...

    Cheers, Sandalwood

I can't wait any longer. I'm starting to go crazy.

I also want to take my time and finish in plenty of time.

I am hiking 5 weeks and need to be home early in May and I am anxious to get on the trail.

PS to Everyone. Watch out for poison ivy. Last year i just about sat in a patch. The leaves were very smallbut my wife noticed just as i was about to sit down. Be careful where you place your poles and tent etc.
I friend of mine last year got Poison Ivy all over his hands and it made life miserable for a while.

Smokestack and I are starting from Springer on March 18. Looks like a bumper crowd. Smokestack is doing a thru... I peel off in Franklin and do his support. Looking forward to running into a few of you. We are starting out slow going shelter to shelter.

We are starting early to hit the April Fools Hiker Bash in Franklin on March 31 and April 1.
